When knit becomes porcelain Alix d. Reynis in Molli
For its winter 2021 wardrobe, Maison Molli reinterprets the traditional “Irish” sweater in a highly refined couture version. Knitted in an ecru extra-fine pure new wool, the yarns intertwine in a skilful play of needles, alternating wavy cables, honeycomb stitch and delicate floral motifs, thus creating an exceptional Irish knit.
This reinterpretation by Maison Molli plays with relief and detail around traditional techniques, in the manner of a porcelain piece. From this subtle play of interpretation came the idea of inviting the talented ceramicist Alix d. Reynis to pose in her studio; her porcelain pieces, pure, simple, refined and timeless in style, share a common world with Maison Molli.
