Franca workshop Meeting with two talented ceramicists

France Bocognani and Caroline Bartoli are friends in life, united by a shared passion for ceramics. Franca is the name they chose for their studio: a name that evokes the south, the common thread between these two friends who live in Marseille. Their handmade pottery, deliciously curved and irregular, reflects an imagination filled with artistic references and warm light. The pieces are varied: vases, plates, lamps, with influences from the south and the Mediterranean.

What is your iconic product ?

Without hesitation, our jules & jim vase inspired by the typical railings of marseille buildings is a double vase linked by rings that symbolize for us the bonds of love for friends or family.
Its name refers to a françois truffaut film we adore about a love trio starring jeanne moreau.

What are your future projects ?

An exhibition at le corbusier’s cité radieuse in marseille in march on the theme of paradise lost...frescoes, mirrors, lamps... in stoneware.
