When knit becomes porcelain
For its 2021 winter wardrobe, Maison Molli reinterprets the traditional "Irish" sweater in a couture version of great refinement. Knitted in pure unbleached extrafine virgin wool, the yarns are intertwined in a skilful needlework, alternating wavy twists, honeycomb stitch and delicate floral motifs, creating an exceptional Irish knit .
Molli’s reinterpretation is played up in textures and details that revolve around traditional techniques resembling porcelain.
From this subtle game of interpretation was born the idea of asking the talented ceramicist Alix D. Reynis to pose in her studio. Her porcelain pieces with their pure, simple, refined, timeless style share a common universe with Molli.
